Grieve not,
let not the grief of all the world burden your spirit,
that cup is not for you to take,
but neither may you cease your good works.

Who has known the mind of the Lord?
Who can counsel God?
Who has plumbed the depths of the wisdom
and riches of the Lord?

Grieve not,
let not the wailing of the world block your hearing,
it's not for you to heal the world,
but listen for God's voice in the silence.

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom,
the knowledge of God!
How inscrutable his judgments, unsearchable,
how high his ways.

Fear not,
let not the dangers of the world end your joy,
that fight is not for you to win,
but neither may you cease loving all.

For from God, and through God, and for God,
all things are done.
We place our trust in the Lord's loving plan,
we offer him our fears.

Grieve not,
let not the grief of all the world burden your spirit,
it's not for you to heal the world,
but carry on the work of God's plan.
