Not For All Desire

Not for all desire, will I ever lose myself,
But for the Bread of God, which is attained so gladly.
Let me never lose myself for all that the eye can behold;
For all that the eye can behold is born from inward sight.
Let me never lose myself for all that the mind can surround;
For all that the mind can surround is planted on wisdom's shore.
Let me never lose myself for all that the arms can enclose;
For all that the arms can enclose, is found in compassion's gift.
